Celebrating Oscar Night...

Dear Polishers,

It's The 83rd Annual Academy Award!

I remember I used to watch the award every year until lately, It's getting boring to watch the show. Maybe because of it was held in such time without good movie that inspiring us (or maybe I just haven't heard something phenomenal about this year movie... except for Hailee Stanfield and her so-called brilliant performance)

So... after watching some lame dresses, and lame show... I decided to do some manicure to celebrate the award, since I didn't get the chance to watch it!

Here's what I use:

Essie Matte About You, Tony Moly Party Glitter Gold, Essie Wicked, and (not in the picture) Etude Glittery Heart

I called this A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

My first attempt to do Moon Manicure... so funny that I use Tape for the line. A bit annoying, I hate that it makes my essie wicked looks dove... It's supposed to look super shinny even without topcoat and the tape had lost the shine. I give it a B+. I'm not very into it.... I think I could do better. (Lately I keep saying that...)

Oh.... before I forgot, I'm giving an A+ for Essie Wicked because it's just... amazing. The perfect dark red that doesn't make you look old in anyway! I LOVE IT! I'm obsessed with it! It's just WICKED!

1st Nail Related Bday Present!

Dear Polishers,

I'm happy... because I just got my little present from my friend, Shan2!

Look what she bought me!

*I'll update the pic ASAP

It's a cool gift. They have two sided. One is pen shape and when you open in, you'll find a tiny brush inside of the pen! It's refillable and you could put any of your favorite color!

I start experimenting and manage to draw something...

It's not much of a problem when you draw dots or hearts, but when you want to draw something, it becomes a bit of a problem since you have to squeeze so the ink will go out from the pen. While the brush... I can't even used it. Maybe I'm not an expert of drawing with tiny brush. Even though, I love the fact that you can refill the color with any color you want...

I promise to try to make something from that nail pen.

Until then, Happy Polishing!

XOXO,

Party, Disco, and Blings

Dear polishers,

I've been rockin in the G6! LOL... no, I'm just kiddin!

I'm not much of a party person, although I have one little obsession connected to partying. If you're a good friend of mine, you'll know how much I love glitters... I don't know if it's because of fairy, or glass slippers, or treasures! I just love something that sparks! So, when I see this manicure from NEGLELAKKMANI I was like... GOD I GOT TO DO THIS SOMEDAY! SOON!!

I even desperately enough to find that square thingy, which of course I couldn't find it. (You'll never find things when you need it, but when you didn't need it, it'll pop out of nowhere!)

So in my urgeness, I tempted to do this manicure...

Hate it... so... I wipe it and do another manicure!

I called this Miracle Up

I use Gionyx Pink.

I love the formula. I love the brushes. I love the bottle. I even love the exclusive packaging that come with this little black book which brags about their new technology brush (Though I admit I love their brushes so much!)

But... the color, yes the color... (When I bought this one, I was thinking about getting a starfish patrick. I'm looking for a dupe for that one and Boy I get dissapointed for not following my heart. *Sobs*) I'm not a fan of that pink...so after making it, I wipe it right away, again. T.T So much for bad nail manicure day!

Until then, Happy Polishing!

XOXO,
NAILheartINK

Movie Obsession Goes in The Way!

Dear Polishers,

Did I ever tell you that I'm a movie buff?

Yeap... for you who don't know. I'm a movie buff... mostly I love to watch adventure or sci-fi movie, anything out of ordinary.

So the connection of our nail polish topic is that I'm making some easy manicure with movie theme. Lately, I'm a bit obsessed with Tron Legacy. I love the movies and everything about it! The colors, the music (Daft Punk is genius), the cast (Garret Hedlund! Super Yummy!)

That's why I decided to do some tribute to TRON!

Here's what I use!

Opi Katy Perry Black Shatter, Faceshop Orange Neon, Faceshop Yellow, China Glaze For Audrey

And this is what it looks like...

I called this manicure GREETINGS PROGRAM!

I think this manicure is very dull. Nothing interesting about this manicure and I wipe it immediately after using it for two days. Shame on me for doing it by deadline. That's why my creativity weren't explored! But what do you think? Is it a good manicure? or a bad one?

Until then, Happy Polishing!

XOXO,
NAILheartINK

Valentine, Hate, and Manicure

Dear Polishers,

Happy Valentine Day....

I would consider Valentine day as a pink day. Where every thing that look pink is forgiven.

Here's one pink that I love! I got the picture from miss Neglelakkmani

*The Teenage Dream is a best seller in Indonesia. I think it's sold out after a few minutes when it debuted in Indonesia.

I hate to say that I don't have someone to be my valentine. I used to think about this guy who turns out to be gay (although he had a girlfriend which is obviously a lie). So I'm channeling my depression to my manicure!

I called this manicure: Still Hate Your Girlfriend! (I even put Avril Lavigne cover album to underline the statement)

I'm using OPI Katy Pery Black Shattered, LA Girl Matte Shocking Pink, Sticker!

Find Your Muse... Selected Nail Magz Scan!

Dear Polishers,

I should start making something that makes my blog different than the other. Maybe changing format, discussing easy manicure, or stuff rather than giving swatches. Beside, my creative brain needs a release.

So... i was looking something to fill my blog and then, I got this amazing cute japonnese Nail magazine and I guess some of them are worth to save. So here it is. You should check on the picture. Maybe it can give you a easy manicure inspiration!

BTW, I was reading I love Nailpolish Blog and I found this a post about COLOR TEST. I know that when I do the test I'm gonna get a perfect score because I always knew that I'm good at Colors.

and FYI, while I'm reading her blog, she put funfact about ther that she collects hangers and arranges them in color while matching it with her outfit. The funny thing is, though I didn't collect hanger, I did matching it while hanging it with my outfit! Coincidence? Maybe it's just because we love color so much we have fun with it!

Until then, Happy Polishing!

BREAKING NEWS! How to store your nail polish

Dear Polishers,

Today I just go a message from my dear friend (whom people used to call her my twin) She said, "Is it true? That you should keep your polish in your refrigerator?!"

I just laugh about it and said... "What crap are you eating up too?!" and then I explain it to her that it should be place in a cool place. Like room with air conditioning (since our country is a tropical country and jakarta definetly is on hot place) But then it hit me back... cool place. Isn't a fridge is a cool place?!

So I start digging on the internet and found an article in oprah online. "How to store you nail polish."

pic source: whatwouldednasay.com

Basically Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, executive vice president of OPI, said that putting your nail polish in fridge could help reduce discoloration because the cold keep the pigment together. While instead putting it up, you might considered putting it back front, (cap's under, bottom's up) so the pigment mixes easier.

But then again. As you can see that polish contain flammable chemical. There's a chance that while you store it in the fridge, when you open it, it will explode. Which of course we're all trying to prevent that!

So...the point of the story is... although my friend's right, in the end... I'm also right that better put your polish in room (with aircon of course) rather than the fridge!

Until then, Happy Polishing!

Oo-o-o It's Magic

Dear Polishers,

Last time I was at singapore on January. It was like the biggest journey of my life... since I've never walked out of my country and that's the first time I'm being abroad. Which is turn out... it means much but not that much as I expected.

But... of course there's a really good time when I found little treasures in the middle of stuffs (Good stuffs). I FOUND NAIL POLISH!!!!!

I don't know why.... Singapore really has lots of Nail art saloon but what bothers me is why can't I find polish store there. The only place I could find nail polish is drug store and one beauty shop which I even don't remember its name.

Anyway, I bought lots of stuff in there... a bit dissapointed I didn't buy the Nicole by OPI because it costs too much money!

So here it is, what I bought in Singapore...

From left to right: OPI rising star, Delsol Heart breaker, Rimmel rieviera red, Thinner, LA Girl Matte indigo and pink, Sally Hansen Violet sparks

My favorites are those four thing and probably rimmel riviera red.

Lately I'm obsessed with Rimmel brand because their amazing brush. With just one apply, you'll get a perfect shade in your nails.

While DelSol amazes me with its magic! Believe it or not, it respond to sunlight and get darker everytime it's exposed to the sun. (It should gone grape purple, but I only got red plum... but at least it doesn't lie!)

I just wish it really could change color into bright purple instead of Plum color. a bit dissapointment for 15 dollar....

So would you buy a changing color nail polish?

Until then, Happy Polishing!

XOXO,
NAILheartINK

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Start with an apologize...

Dear Polishers,

First, I would say happy new year to all readers! Happy New and Chinnese New Year...

Second of all, I would like to apologize because I'm not updating this blog... Since there's so much thing going around (I'm building my little emppire of nail polish shop), so I decided to write back. Of course one of the reason is the encouragement of my college friend. It's always nice to hear some positive comment from someone you never expected to.

There's so much to update, but so little time to write....

Being blogger is very demanding...

Until then, Happy Polishing!

ACK!!!!! It's an accident!!!!!

Dear Polishers,

It's my unlucky day...

I was at the gym. I've just done a good polish a few days ago and that day, I don't know why, It's the first time I run at the bathroom when suddenly I trip! It was hurt so bad... and when I said it hurts, I don't lie...

At first... I just feel something burning in my toes. I don't know... I just thought that maybe it's the effect of hitting the ceramic step floor too hard. (It scared me if I had another sprained thumb) But after a few minute, I began to get suspicious because the "after burn feel" didn't vanished. So... I'm checking it again and found something scary.

My nail was separating from it skin and flapped up to me.... GOD!!!!

I'm walking and I realize there's blood dripping from it and I scares me if something happen because I can't see what's really happen thanks to the polish that cover the nail surface... T.T

Luckily, my sister has an experience on giving first aid treatment. So she treated me and my thumb right away.

You guys should see what it looks like!

Until I'm healing, Happy Polishing!

XOXO,
NAILheartINK
